Log Beginning November 15, 1577 Coordinates: 50.3706° N, 4.1397° W Plymouth
The weather is clear for smooth sailing. I left Plymouth in the darkness of night so no one would know that we were leaving. I am captain of this fleet of five ships and commander of the Pelican. We are going to raid Spanish ships and bases in the New World under the command of Queen Elizabeth. I am very excited. My crew thinks that we are heading for Alexandria in Egypt to trade goods with them.

The weather is fair and the temperature is hot today. My crew has recently found out that we were not actually going to Alexandria. Most of my crew was scared when they found out, most likely because they did not sign up for this. We are around an archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. There is tension between the noblemen and the sailors. Thomas Daughty is very upset. I hear that he has started to question my authority. He is talking about a mutiny.
April 5, 1578 Coordinates: 49°S and 67°"W. Port San Julian, near Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The weather is clear today. My crew and I were ambushed when landing in Port San Julian. The Natives attacked after we attempted to make piece. I killed their chief with such a powerful gun, that they turned around and ran. They did not come back. Thomas Daughty is starting to become a real problem. I need to take care of this. I will put him on trial for his life.

The weather is horrible. I already sank two ships to keep everyone together, and a storm took another one of my ships. Everyone on that ship was taken down with her. I don't know want to do about that. The crew on the Elizabeth is looking uneasy. It looks like they might flee back to England. We must flee south to find shelter from this horrid storm. Before all of this, when we just reached the Strait of Magellan, I renamed my ship from the Pelican to the Golden Hind.
February 15, 1579 Coordinates: 12.0677° S, 77.1486° W
The weather is great. Today we raided Callao, a port in Lima, Peru. We took so much treasure from the Spanish today. I have also learned that a ship named Cacafuego has left for Panama with massive treasure. I need to catch up with that ship. We need to start making a plan. This is going to be very important.
June 17, 1579 Coordinates: 37.9968° N, 123.0198° W
It is cold here. We sailed to Vancouver Island, trying to sail back to England through the Northwest Passage. It was just too cold and foggy, we turned back. We are currently in a dock-like peninsula where we anchored to repair the Golden Hind, we were greeted by Natives. They immediately dropped their weapons and started bowing. This seemed like worship to a god. I was horrified. I tried to tell them in sign language that we were only human to no avail. Since it looked like I was their king, I claimed the land for England and named it Nova Albion.

We have a nice weather today. We landed in Ternate, an island in Southeast Asia. I made a deal with their leader to trade for spices. We also were allowed to buy cloves, pepper, ginger, rice, bananas, and sugar cane for a great price. Now that we have all of these delicacies, we should focus on going home a little more.
January 8, 1580 Coordinates: 5.3°S 145°E
It is very windy today. The Golden Hind struck a reef and if the direction of the wind doesn't change soon we will sink. We started to throw most of the cloves we collected off the ship. We need to get going. Wwe have spent too much time on this reef. It feels like the wind might change directions soon, but I can't be sure.

There is good weather today. Perfect for our return home from our voyage. I am being called back to London, from Plymouth, to meet the queen again. People are celebrating my trip, but people who are pro-Spain now want me arrested. Tensions between Spain and England has worsened. I heard that King Phillip ordered the English ambassador to England to demand my arrest. I better be careful.
